yay kiki! Finally, someone familiar... and i think i know ure real name.
Do you ever get that where you say you love reading, and everyone assumes that means you like classics? I get that a lot. Thing is, i cant stay awake long enough while reading them to get past the first 2 pages. But i love reading though, just modern books.
What's wrong wiv being christian? I dont mind... i never have read the bible (my mum keeps saying i should, just for the experience) but i dont have a religion ;-)

Jack is great! I love Ianto too x3 I've only watched season one. Matt Smith? I think he's a show called Party Animals or something...I remember reading it in a magazine. Haven't seen the companion.
Hey Paige! Hey Misha! Lie To Me has just started over here and I love it! I'm bookworm-y too and probably more in the traditional sense xD I have an interest in older literature but I haven't read much. Oscar Wilde is good and so is George Orwell. I have no problem with religion o-o; Sorry, it's almost if you were daring someone to challenge you. I have been raised to have an open opinion of most beliefs.

Gasp!!! Is george orwell the guy who wrote 1984? I absolutely hate that book! (no offense) My teacher made us all read it, and no one (literally, no one) liked it. She has a REALLY bad taste in books. That was my worst year of english ever.
I think season 2 of torchwood is way better, you should definately watch it!!!
Yeah me too, i go to an international school where there's about 20 different nationalities in a class (no kidding, my class was known as the UN class, it was cool - we had egyptians, mexican, aussie, indian, japanese...etc) So i also am open to beliefs.

Well, I guess I'll introduce myself...
My name's Meredith, and I live in New England in the US. Vermont. It's cold and wet, and I hate it. I just turned 14 last week, June 12, so Yay!!! Happy dance!!! I've been roleplaying since, I believe, March last year. I have improved SOOO much since then. Ask Ali or Tiger XD I just graduated middle school recently, and my English teacher, Mr. P, awarded me the Catherine H. Steele award - the English award for our school. I plan on going to college for creative writing and education - or English and education. My favorite bands/artists of the moment are Kelly Clarkson, The Fray, Avril Lavigne, Trading Yesterday (squeal!), Skillet, The Veronicas, Secondhand Serenade, 3DG, Paramore, Lesley Roy, and Hey Monday. I love music. I can't live without me. My favorite books include Speak, Catalyst, the Twilight series, the Warriors series, Vampire Academy series, and the Hunger Games. I read a lot, too...lol.
Sorry if I rant a lot. I have some trouble at home, and sometimes I just have to let it out, because bottling it up just makes it worse. So I apologize in advance for anger or tears XD
And I'm sorry for telling you so much crap. You don't even have to read it if you want to XD

Yay! Yes, Laurie Halse Anderson outdid herself with that book. One of my favorites of all time. My inspiration comes from music, my friends, and my English teacher (ex English teacher, I mean X'[ ) He made me so much better than I was.

Oh, I read Speak a couple of months ago. I absolutely loved it! I was reading it after our OATs (Ohio Achievement Tests, which is my state's preferred method of torture for students in grades 3-8), which is probably why I was so eager to finish them. I want to read more of Laurie Halse Anderson's books once I finish the Mortal Instruments trilogy...I just started the first book and I love it.

What I loved about it was that it sounded just like a teenage girl talking, instead of some forty-year-old writing a book about one. It's about such a sensitive topic, too, but it's still somehow funny.

Speak got very difficult to read when it came to part of reliving the moment. It's a very sensitive topic for me. She was able to capture every emotion that a rape victim feels. And you're right - she completely captured the teenage mind. It was a phenomenal book.

Heeey, I just found this board. *ahem* My internet name is Loaym. (LOH-um, by the way.) I'm kinda stupid and naive, and it takes me an hour to write two sentences! Which is why my posts are sometimes a bit short. :D I really like the idea of this site, and I think that roleplaying here will be a lot of fun.
I have not yet read Speak, but it's on my list now. x3

^ Aw, Loaym, you're not stupid. You're just gullible. And it takes you a long time to figure things out. But I'm like that too :]
