His eyes are a blue/gray, and sometimes, they are stunning, while others, they are just there. He has a thin build, wiry, instead of muscular. He can run faster than anybody he knows, except for his sister. His skin is almost a peanut color, which aggravates him. He tends to keep himself shaved, instead of scruffy, but he occasionally forgets. He stands at six foot two, and he is proud of his height. He uses it to intimidate people, though he himself isn‘t very intimidating.

Adrian has a caring nature, but a hesitant one. After he saw what happened to his parents, he is scared of love and what it comes with. But he is also determined, and is willing to try to have what his parents once had. He is also distant, and can pull away from someone if it gets too hard. He is very cautious with his heart, and fearful that if he throws himself into a relationship too fast, and falls in love, his heart will break and he‘ll become like his mother.
Adrian is proud of his elder sister, who has accomplished many things. He also admires how she holds herself together, though inside he knows she‘s falling apart. He wants to be somewhat like her, but be his own person. He doesn‘t want to be her, for he knows that she will tease him endlessly. When it comes to his sister, he knows all there is to know. He is jealous of her, because she has a steady boyfriend that loves her, and, according to Jason himself, is planning on marrying her.
He is not afraid of death itself, but what comes after the tragedy. Do you just die? Is there actually a heaven and a hell? Do you get reincarnated? He is unsure of his religion because of this, and is deathly terrified of what will happen after he leaves this world. Adrian does not like the sun because when he was a child, his family visited the Sahara Desert. While there, his parents went off on a camel ride and left him and his sisters behind. They were not found until two hours later, after they had heatstroke and a terrible sunburn. After that, Adrian tended to stay inside when it was really sunny out. He‘s gotten over his fear mostly, but he still feels uncomfortable under its rays.
Adrian keeps to himself mostly. Though he has a good group of friends, they are more boisterous and outgoing, and he doesn‘t tend to like the same things as they do. Though he is eternally grateful to two of his dear friends, he doesn‘t hand out with them much. They talk with him and such, but they understand that Adrian is not of the type to go out partying and drinking like they do. He is waiting for the moment when he can finally repay them for everything they‘ve done for him.
He doesn‘t visit his parents much. He hasn‘t seen his mother in a year and half. His father he saw recently with his new wife at a local coffee shop. He is planning on going to his sister‘s high school graduation next year, because he is obligated to. But that‘s all. It‘s not that he doesn‘t care for his sister - he does - he just wants to avoid seeing his mother again.
Adrian wants to find love. He is putting himself out there. But he is afraid that some of his fears, or his background, will scare women off. He knows that women usually have an interest in men that play guitar or such, so that is one of the reasons he keeps up with his playing. He‘s using all that he can get.

character history • Adrian had originally led a sheltered life. Born to Steven and Norah Karter, with an older sister named Caylina, he had no reason to be worried. His parents were so much in love, never got into any trouble with the police. His childhood was contently boring. He got what he asked for for Christmas, sometimes more, and he always got the best birthday presents. He had nothing to worry about at all. He was carefree, and his parents nurtured and loved him and his sisters.
At the age of thirteen though, everything changed. His parents began fighting a lot at night, when they thought that their children were asleep. They could never hear what their parents were saying, but they could tell it was important. The fighting lasted for a year before their parents announced they were getting a divorce. Caylina had it easiest - she was leaving for college in a few months. But Adrian and Mikaela were stuck. How could they choose between their parents? Mikaela got out lucky. She was under the age of thirteen, and Steven won the custody battle. She had no choice in the matter. And she begged for Adrian to come with her. She didn‘t want to be alone with the whole ordeal. And so he chose his father.
He lived happily with his father and sister for a while. Then his father started dating again, and Martha came into the equation. She was everything his father needed. She was a lovely woman. Nice, loving, caring, blonde. And Adrian knew the minute his father brought her home to meet the family that this would be his father‘s bride. And he was right. After another year, when Adrian turned sixteen, his father remarried. He and his sister knew that they should leave, let them be newly weds, but Mikaela liked it here, and didn‘t want to leave their new step brother alone. And so Adrian left on his own to live with his mother.
Norah was happy to see her son again, and quickly let him in. They switched over his custody to her, and that‘s when he found out exactly why his parents were no longer together.
His mother was a coke addict.
At first, Adrian thought it would be OK to just pretend nothing was out of the ordinary. His mother could do whatever she pleased, as long as he didn‘t touch the deadly white powder. But it didn‘t happen that way. His mother was insane. She pressured him into taking the drug, but he politely refused. He would not get sucked into the seedy world. And so he spent as much time out of the house as possible.
That‘s when he took up soccer, and guitar, and running. He stayed out as much as he could, to avoid his mother and the deadly drug. He looked into apartments for after high school, and apartments where he could stay. He didn‘t have a job - he couldn’t find one that suited him - and eventually, when graduation finally rolled around, some old friends offered him a place in their apartment. And so, he accepted their offer, and left the moment graduation was over.
In a year, not much has happened to Adrian. He stays in touch with Caylina and Mikaela, but that‘s about it. He plays his guitar, he runs, he kicks the soccer ball around at the local park. He doesn‘t want to be like his mother, so avoids the parties and drinking and such. He‘s had some dates but none of them go anywhere. He‘s applied to some colleges in the area, and is waiting for one to send him an acceptance. Finally, he‘s looking into finding a job, so he can finally repay his friends that have given him so much, and to move out and become his own man.

roleplay sample • Adrian let the beat of his feet on the sidewalk lull him. His mind drifted, remembering the happy years of his childhood. Oh, how things had changed. He relived some moments, the thud of his feet on the sidewalk the only sound he heard. He closed his eyes briefly, mesmerized with his memories that he held so dear. But all too soon, he was back at the apartment, sweat layering his peanut butter skin. He scratched at his chin as he jogged up the stairs, checking his watch as well. He had to shave after his shower. He had a job interview in an hour and a half. He unlocked the apartment door, still scratching his chin. As the lock clicked, and the door swung open, he called out softly, “Dan, Patrick, I‘m back.” He heard some mumbles in the other room, and chuckling quietly, he made his way to the shower in the apartment, wondering idly if he had enough time to eat before leaving.
Turning the nozzle in the shower, he felt the warm liquid fall over his other hand, and he reveled in its texture and feel. He slipped out of his clothes, stepping in quickly. He felt the water run over his body, washing away the sweat and grime. He felt his muscles relax, uncoiling in his arms and legs and stomach. He massaged the shampoo into his scalp, and letting the smooth soap fall out like rain. One of the reasons he loved showers was they relaxed his body, and washed away all the bad he had acquired in a day.

other My first, and possibly only, charrie! Yay, I finished earlier than I expected. I know, some of you don‘t like Twilight, but Robert Pattinson inspired me to create this fantastic character (or at least I think he‘s fantastic) and I worked extremely hard on this application. You can also thank my sister, for being away and leaving me alone and bored. All in all, I think there are a number of things that helped me create Adrian.
I got this application template from The Meadow. It is a post-Breaking Dawn RPG, and all the applications are so thought-out and well written, mine doesn‘t even compare. But, alas, Brooke from The Meadow created this template specifically for The Meadow and I will NOT take credit for it.
Finally, I was thinking Adrian could be a love interest for the main main character, which is why he is drawn into all of it, because he‘s “fiercely protecting his love.” I dunno, he doesn‘t have to be the final love interest, but, it‘s possible. And it doesn‘t even have to be done at all.
OK, so, if anything is wrong with the application, I will fix it. And if I need to, I can put it in the original application format. I‘m still trying to find a theme song for him, but I‘ll let you know when I do. And…I believe that‘s it! OK. Finally, I can finish with this application. It‘s taken a lot out of me, lol.
