overall :: The typical first impression of Kelly is that she is a snobby, stuck-up rich girl. This description is, for the most part, true. Once one gets to know Kelly, she quickly becomes less unpleasant to be around. She is a tomboy at heart and doesn't mind to get her clothes dirty, although she pretends to so her parents don't think that she is just being sloppy. Speaking of her parents, they spoil her. She has been taking riding lessons since she was four and has played tennis for about three years...both of which were paid for in full by Kimberly and Brian.
Would you imagine for such a girl to also be a hardcore band geek? Kelly claims to have spent half her life in the bandroom. She is first chair trumpet player despite the fact that she has very little natural musical talent. Her skill is the result of practicing for about an hour and a half a day. (Yes, she has a fancy silver-plated trumpet that cost 2000 dollars, if you're wondering.) She openly sneers on members of the orchestra and chorus and claims that no one would attend the football games if it were not for the band. Also, she brags about how strong her lips are; her two main claims involve being able to play the entire written range for trumpet and having scared off a boyfriend due to the fact that her lips were firmer than his.
She doesn't get much sleep due to juggling the three activities (tennis, dressage, and band) while still maintaining a relatively healthy social life. Surprisingly, Kelly does not have much of an ego, although this may be because she has so little free time to think of herself.

Kelly, like her parents, is a lifelong resident of Carlisle. She has lived her life in the lap of luxury due to the fact that Kimberly and Brian both work jobs that make them rather opulent. Her brother, David, was already nine when she was born. At the age of four, Kelly caught horse fever and started riding lessons. She began to take dressage lessons two years later, and started competing on the A-circuit when she was fourteen. By then, she had already discovered tennis and trumpet. She does not want to pursue tennis professionally, but dreams of training at the Spanish Riding School or competing on the US Olympic team. As far as music goes, Kelly does not wish to compose, although she is attempting to learn how to play songs by ear in her rare moments of free time. Her past has few significant events despite the business of her life; she has won quite a few riding championships although none of them were particularly major or momentous.
Pets;
Sophie, a five-year-old collie who is affectionately described as "psychotic" by her owner.
Gilbert (registered name is Best Bet Yet), an eleven-year-old gray Trakehner gelding. His hobbies include bullying the Lipizzaner in the stall next to his and jumping pasture fences. She started riding him when she was 13.

If you are not a brass player, then that lip thing must sound very odd, but I assure you that it is totally normal. Well, I don't know about scaring off one's date, but with playing high notes comes very, very firm lips.
