"Does YOUR watch tell you what year it is?"
:appearance:
He has distinctly pale skin which refuses to tan but will burn quite happily. His eyes are light green and more than often are shadowed. His hair is dark brown and often parted as shown in the pictures.
His face is long with a prominent chin. His cheek bones are obvious in certain lights, when he has lost weight or has a particulary sombre expression. Build wise, Thomas is tall and scrawny. However, he is not weak but is physically fit and enjoys a good game of football or even tennis.
:personality:
Thomas is often quiet, preferring to listen rather than talk. Or maybe he's just tired. Most of his comments are usually reserved as not to upset anyone. On a passionate topic he can become energetic and it's had to get him to shut up. Around strangers, he adapts the quiet and reserved demeanour (sometimes mistaken for aloofness) but around his friends his is very cheery and often smiling. Thomas is what you would call a 'diligent' student and works hard. Unfortunately, he has no patience for maths as it just confuses him.
As mentioned, Thomas is nearly always tired. He probably doesn't eat enough iron or food in general. He does have a habit of staying up at night watching tv or reading. Plus, he has three siblings he has to put up with which would tire anyone out.

:history:
Thomas's parents were both born in the Derbyshire county of England, living in a village called Quarndon. They married in England and applied for permanent residence in the U.S. This was granted to them -probably after a long time, the Green Card system seems confusing- and they moved to Cambridge, MA. Thomas was born a year later and four years after that, his parents were granted citizenship. As Thomas was born in America, he has Dual Citizenship.
Moving away from all this technical jargon, the Gray family moved to Carlisle when he was six. His parents couldn't stand life and city so chose a town where there was farmland and woodland. The New England feel to the town also helped their decision. Thomas attends Concord High School while his siblings attend the public school in Carlisle. He hasn't had much trouble with school aside for being a tad disruptive in his younger years. He's had a few trips to the principal's office but he's got that out of his system. He mainly wants to survive highschool without drawing attention to himself. Unfortunately, his accident doesn't help and he has to continuously explain he's not actually English. Thomas picked up his parents way of speaking rather than the locals. However, there are exceptions to certain words. He can use a local accent if wishing to fit in better but he hates the sound of words in American English. Aside from his small love for very British things, he is an American teen. He has only visited the UK three times in his life. The third visit is set during the Summer Break before school starts in this story.

"Of course you don't!"
Extras:
"...and to your left you'll see the London Bridge-"
"-isn't that nice?" sung the two older children, quietly under their breath. From the tally chart that Abigail was keeping, the tour guide add tacked on "isn't that nice?" to a whopping ten sentences. The barges had been nice, the Tower had been nice, Westminster Abbey had been nice. Every single landmark the Gray family had witnessed had been nice.
"Mum, why can't you just show us this stuff?" Abigail begged, turning around in her seat.
"Darling, I like pretending to be a tourist in my own country. Now face the front, I can't see the Thames."
Abby sighed and turned around, glancing side-alongs at her older brother who appeared to be actually reading his "Guide of London" booklet. "Tom! You're not actually reading that are you?"
Thomas looked up, blinking slowly. He looked down at the booklet and back up at his sister. "Well, yes. If you answer the questions at the end you can win an ipod Touch."
"Really?!" Abigail was suddenly a lot more interested in her booklet. "I think I put it in your bag," she told him. She leaned forward and started tugging at the bag between his feet.
"Nooo," he trilled, a grin on his face as he scribbled in his bookelt. "Yours is back in a bin at the Abbey."
Abigail slammed back into her seat and rested her head against the window pane. London was bathed in her glare of contempt. "This trip sucks."
Her father leaned over the back of her seat, ruffling his daughter's hair. "Don't worry love, after this we'll do some shopping."
"Yep," added Thomas. "I'm going to send some postcards back to Carlisle. Do you think Gianna will like the one with Lady Grey being beheaded at the Tower or the one with the Bridge?"
His mother groaned. "Best stick with the Bridge one, Tom. I don't want you giving her family at bad impression of England."
"Dad! It's raining again!" cried Steven.
